JES Travel Retail, a division of JES, is a German registered global travel retail / duty free consultancy office under private ownership of Timothy Mark Jobber, a duty free veteran of 30 years. We operate a partner partnership programme in addition to our in-house services so that clients receive personalised consultancy of the highest standard from experts around the globe.

What we do ...
Tailored consultancy and service packages for brand owners, license holders and distributors looking to enter into, or expand within, the global travel retail sector. We assist travel retailers looking to expand their supplier base, change arrangement in the supply chain and consultancy services to assist in identifying trends and data management across the travel retail arena.
Services include research papers, marketing (static, electronic, social media, photography), store submission, outlet opening, staff/training and award submissions.
Why we do it ...
Travel retail commonly referred to as duty free or tax free shopping is a USD 87 billion (pre COVID data) travel based retail sector centring on airports, inflight, cruise ships, ferries, border stores and the ideal platform to reach a mass market. With forecasts that travel retail will top USD 100 billion by 2028 the sector is a growth sector that has global appeal, and with over 6 billion journeys per year, a mass market for our clients.

Gemini expand their travel retail sectors with JES Travel Retail
Belgium based men’s watch and jewelry brand Gemini has begun expanding its travel retail presence in partnership with JES Travel Retail. The remit will focus on the sectors that Gemini are not currently active in, namely airports, cruise and ferry, and will use the key GTR trade shows in Miami, Singapore, Argentina and France as benchmarks within each region.
The Gemini ranges include traditional and chronograph watches (42 millimeter to 44 millimeter), bracelets in Nappa leather, stainless steel, larvikite/leather combinations and bronzite stones and are fully supported with POS material that has options for personal custimsation.
JES Travel Retail owner Tim Jobber commented “Gemini represents a subcategory that we have been investigating prior to COVID as our research was consistently showing that the [men’s] jewelry offering in travel retail was greatly underrepresented. In Gemini we found a brand that offered classic, yet modern, designs coupled with the highest quality of manufacturing. Our client however realize the importance of retailer support and therefore we are pleased to partner with an international organization that invests significantly in superb marketing support.”

Brennerie Schraml reaches the TRB Asia Pacific 2023 finals
Following double success in the 2022 travel retail awards in Cannes our client Brennerei Schraml have today (15th March 2023) been announced as finalists in the TRBusiness 2023 Asia Pacific awards for the Stonewood Drà Bavarian Single Malt Whisky. The finals, which will be held via a video brodcast will coincide with the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore and will once again put the Bavarian Stonewood whisky on the global travel retail stage.

2023 TRBusiness & Frontier travel retail awards now live ... plus the new GO for GOLD awards
In a sign that spring will soon be here in Europe the TRBusiness and Frontier awards have now been launched for 2023. The 2 traditional awards have differing formats with the TRBusiness awards centerd around consumer voting and the Frontier's - known as the Oscar's of travel retail - judged by a panel of high level travel retail experts.
New to 2023, and with a ground breaking format for travel retail are the GO for GOLD awards founded by ISPY and TRT owner Christine Martin.

Following regional expansion in the JES Travel Retail client base coupled with our growing portfolio we are now actively recruiting for "Brand ambassadors" and 2 x "Brand ambassador Lead" (freelance) across the above regions.
The roles are all home based with some travel required on a case by case basis, remuneration rates higher than current GTR levels, a lucrative structure for work on ancillary JES Travel Retail models (click here for more details) and membership, and support from, our global network of partner office.
