JES Travel Retail appointed by Imperial Jade
Owner and founder of Imperial Jade, Henry Every, has confirmed that his office will, with immediate effect, work closely with travel retail consultancy office JES Travel Retail with a view to presenting their Yunnan specialty coffee range to the travel retail sector. The agreement will include brand preparation, marketing and information distribution in addition to utilising the JES Travel Retail specialist partner programme experts within regions such as the Middle East and LATAM.
Partnering exclusively with a family owned farm in Baoshan, Imperial Jade distributes unique luxury coffee from the Yunnan region and offers travellers a premium product currently not available in the wider domestic market.
JES Travel Retail founder, Tim Jobber, commented on the agreement, "Travel retail is an ideal arena for such an exclusive, luxury product with the sustainability and storytelling combining to create a unique opportunity for travellers to experience the skills of Yunnan's coffee producers."
Henry added, "I couldn’t be more excited to take such an incredible opportunity not only to showcase an entirely unique coffee from a new speciality origin, but also to share the story of the myriad cultures, flora and fauna found in such a breathtakingly special part of the world. “Known as The Kingdom of Plants, Yunnan has much to teach us as we move toward a world centred around natural harmony and sustainable practice. I look forward to playing a role in bringing these teachings to the wider community.”

Internationally beloved for its stunningly picturesque rice terraces, Yunnan has a long and colourful history of cultivation, in large part due to the rich soils and favourable climate. The southwest province of China is traditionally known for producing the finest green and white teas, however, with guidance from international coffee experts farmers have developed the skills to produce some of the world’s richest and most unique coffee. Imperial Jade works with ZhiXiang Estate, a smallholding who experiment with anaerobic coffee processing, an oxygen-free method that unlocks rare and exotic flavours from within the bean.
